Solace Artisan Breads started three years ago at the Shoreview Farmers Market. We received a warm welcome from the community and have learned so much along the way. I (Cesar) have been a professional baker since 2011 and always dreamed of starting my own business. My partner, Kailleen, has been essential to this journey, an inspiration in many ways. She manages the administrative side and helps with sales at the market, all while we both work full-time jobs in addition to Solace. My current full-time employer also supported me in launching my first market and provided invaluable advice on managing it. Kailleen is a first-generation Mexican-American, and I am an immigrant. Family values and big dreams are at the heart of Solace. We hope to continue growing Solace year by year and share our products with everyone at every market we attend.
As Sancho Panza said in Don Quixote, “los duelos con pan son menos” – at Solace, we believe you can find comfort in every bite! Everything is handmade from scratch, without preservatives or conditioners, for our household and yours. Our love for baked goods is genuine!
