Cold Brewed Iced Tea
By Well Rooted Teas
Ingredients
Only two ingredients – water and loose leaf tea! The standard pitcher is 8 cups and for that amount you would use 6 tablespoons of the herbs of your choosing, or for a smaller amount put 3 tablespoons of herbs in a jar and use 2 cups cold water. Lemon and/or simple syrup is optional to add flavor.
Instructions
I always cold brew my iced tea and recommend you do the same. Without the heat, you end up with a very smooth, light, and refreshing tea with a flavor that lasts up to 3 days in the fridge.
FOLLOW THESE STEPS
Place herbs in the bottom of clean glass container.
Fill container with filtered water and stir.
Cover and leave in fridge 8-12 hours.
When it’s finished steeping, pour it through a strainer and discard the herbs.
Pour over a glass of ice and enjoy. Add a splash of simple syrup if you want sweeten it up or squeeze of lemon to make it pop!
