Aunt Else's Aebleskiver

Aunt Else's Aebleskiver was established in 2008 by Lisa Timek, Linda Engwall, Sarah Engwall, and Chad Gillard. Lisa & Linda are Else's neices, Sarah is Linda's daughter. Chad has had a food booth at the Irish Fair for several years and after tasting aebleskiver for the first time decided that they needed to be shared with the world! We started serving freshly made aebleskiver at a few festivals, including the Scottish Fair in Farmington, and the state's largest county fair in Owatonna. We use the aebleskiver recipe that's been in the Hendriksen family for over a 100 years and are in the process of packaging the mix for home use.
When serving fresh aebleskiver at the Mill City Market we use our mix, eggs from Braucher's Sunshine Harvest Farm, apples from Ames Farms and Whitewater Orchards, and serve them with syrup from North Lakes Wild Rice & Syrup. We plan to feature different products from the market with or in our aebleskiver; including chocolate, sausage, cheese, jam, honey, and berries.
Our mix currently features locally grown, organic wheat, and our goal is to make a completely local & organic product as suppliers are identified. The packages mix should be available soon at our booth at the Farmer's Market, online at www.auntelse.com, and at Local D'Lish. We're very excited to be part of the Mill City Farmers Market!
