Lynne Rossetto Kasper is co-creator and host of public radio's national food show, The Splendid Table® from American Public Media.

In June 2008, The James Beard Foundation named The Splendid Table® show Best National Radio Show on Food.

Lynne and the show’s producer, Sally Swift, co-authored the newly published The Splendid Table®'s How to Eat Super: Recipes, Stories and Opinions from Public Radio's Award Winning Food Show (2008). 

Lecturer, cultural historian, teacher and writer, Lynne is the only author to win Cookbook of the Year Awards from both the James Beard Foundation and the Julia Child/IACP awards for her first book, The Splendid Table: Recipes from Emilia-Romagna, the Heartland of Northern Italian Food (1992). She is also the author of The Italian Country Table (1999).

Lynne lectures in the U.S. and abroad on food and culture, and has taught cooking for nearly 40 years (The James Beard Foundation named her one of the 12 Best Cooking Teachers in America).
